Husbando Month 25 - Kaworu Nagisa

Kaworu is a pretty interesting character for the Evangelion universe. See, the first time he appeared, I immediatly liked him. He was a nice dude, gentle, and then, in the same episode, is revealed he is an angel, and is killed off. I was really surprised, but I didn't understand why. There was this missing part that I couldn't understand.(pffff, understanding EVA?) But then I got Kaworu's point: he was there to understand Shinji. Yeah, Shinji is a crybaby, a coward, an depressed kid, you name it. But what most characters do in the series, is to try to change Shinji. While this would be a good idea, it doesn't work that way.

Kaworu is another character that interacts with Shinji. And he doesn't try to CHANGE him, but he tries to UNDERSTAND him. Let him be what he is, and be comfortable around him. Basically, Kaworu got through Shinji's A.T. Field (AT Fields: what literally holds individual beings' egos together, separating individuals.Ultimately this is the cause of loneliness and pain in the world, keeping individual people apart.) and kinda became one with him, understanding the way he is. Kaworu is fascinating, and while I still like Misato more for her personality, Kaworu deserves a spot on the list.
